To set up and export a Floor plan follow these steps:

1) Set up a Top axonometric view (Floor plan view)
2) Activate the Footprint controls (buttons on the right side)
3) Choose ‘Show Selected only’ while nothing is selected – this way only the Floor plan ‘drawing’ will be visible
4) You can check and uncheck content (Grids, Walls, Room stamps) with the buttons on the right side
5) You can select the Floor plan range with the slider on the right side
6) If the floor plan is ready, right-click to select ‘Copy Snapshot’ or ‘Export Floorplan…’ from the pop-up menu.

Holding down the Control key while dimensioning an element will measure the minimum distance between elements.
Horizontal and vertical dimensions can be added as well. To do that Right-click and select Show Dimension options. If this option is selected these options can be changed before placing dimensions.

If you click on the wrong spot to start the dimension simply hit the ESC and start another one.
If you would like to remove a dimension activate the Hide tool (Shortcut 7) and click on the dimension to delete it.
To remove them all just click on the Show All button.

Steps:1 Go to your SOLIDWORKS install folder on your machine C:\program files\solidworks corp\solidworks\toolbox\data utilities\

Step 2: Run the sldsetdocprop.exe file

Step 3: Add files/ folders that you want to change

Step 4: By default, Property state is set to “Yes”, click Show Selected Property to view the status

Step5: Now, set Property State to “ No” and click “Update Status” and click “Show selected Property to check the status. Also in the Assembly file you will not see toolbox icon in the Feature Manager tree anymore.

Now, you should be able to Check in the part file into PDM vault like any other part.

The Sectioning tool allows you to cut multiple sections in your model.

Adding a section: Once the sectioning tool is activated, you can click on a surface and a section plane will appear. Select six at any given time: North, South, West, East, Top and Bottom.

Moving a section: Press the SHIFT key and click on the section key with the mouse to move it

Inverse a section: Hit the Backspace key (Windows) or the Delete key (macOS)

Adding multiple sections: To add an additional section click on another face

Angle a section: You can angle placed sections by pressing the X or Y keys. To undo the action press Alt+X or Alt+Y

Hide a section plane: Push the T key

Delete a section plane: Hit delete (Windows) or deleteX (macOS)

What is Solibri?

The visualization of issues is now easier than ever. Both in Results and Checked Components views, the user can view all issues at once in a new ‘flat list’ – and in the Components View, amounts of issues and severity is added to the sorting priority. These improvements offer time savings when managing complex builds.

Information Takeoff has been improved with a new column called ‘Profile’. The Profile column can be used to show either profile type, name, or any of the profile properties for which the model has information, such as measures. By utilizing this feature, it is now easier to manage the information when taking quantity information from the BIM file as part of the construction process.

The planning and subsequent construction of parking areas is improved with the updated parking rule. The ability to check the dimensions of parking spaces reassures the building owner that the spaces are functional and easy to park in already during the design phase.
