Angle dimension of a single line in a sketch
Tips and Tricks • Bill • 12 October 2015
How many times have you wanted to dimension the angle of a line in a sketch, but there is no reference line to dimension from so you have to draw a construction line and then dimension between it and the line? Never? Well I have and it’s a pain, but then I found this little gem.
You can insert the angle dimension by selecting the line and then one of its vertices – SOLIDWORKS will produce a crosshair that will create an angle dimension based on which direction of the crosshair you select. The video shows this in action.
