Fundamentals in 3D CAD

Overview/Content
This two day introductory course is aimed at people who have little or no experience with 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. It is ideal for drafters, shop floor technical employees, or those with limited CAD experience, who are experiencing difficulty grasping the concepts of 3D CAD.

This course takes the learner on a CAD journey - from understanding the 'what and why' of 3D CAD to creating a simple 3D model using SOLIDWORKS software. It is a hands-on, easy and fun course which is conducted at a comfortable pace. There is plenty of time for questions and practice.

Prerequisites
Mechanical design experience. Experience with Windows Operating System. Ideally, have completed the online tutorials that are integrated in the SOLIDWORKS software, but this is not essential.
